About the Warlocks MacGregor® Series

People know magic is fake--card tricks and illusions, magicians and entertainers. But there is an older magick, a powerful force hidden from modern eyes, buried in folklore and myths, remembered by the few who practice the old ways and respect the lessons of past generations.

The term "warlock" is a variation on the Old English word waerloga, primarily used by the Scots. It meant traitor, monster or deceiver. This fiction-based family includes males and females of magick. The MacGregors do not agree with how history has labeled them, or other supernaturals. To them, warlock means magick, family, and immortality. Malina MacGregor has been labeled as a screw-up all of her adult life, especially by her brother Niall, who has to keep rescuing her time after time, which is a lot of saves since she is over 300 years old. Her escapades with the wrong men are legendary to say the least. When she goes to Las Vegas in the 1960’s she thought she finally had it figured out, until Niall showed up and informed her lover was a demon. He contains Dar the demon and takes him and Malina into the desert where he kills him and buries him. He then takes Malina home and make her promise never to tell anyone what happened. Fast forward several decades and suddenly their house is taken over by ghosts, goblins and a few other “things” including leprechauns. No one can figure out what is going on, when Malina suddenly has a heart attack and ends up in the hospital. She swears she is hearing a voice from the past, but that can be because Dar is dead, isn’t he? When he finally appears before her and she learns he isn’t really dead, she doesn’t know what to think or do. Turns out he isn’t a full demon but a luck semi-demon. He came back to extract revenge on her and her family. In the mean time, the little prank he has played on their house is suddenly out of control and he can’t figure out why. This is the funniest book about the crazy MacGregors. I laughed so hard. They are so crazy and lovable at the same time. Don’t start reading this one until you have time to read the whole thing. She may be the only girl and her magic can be a bit...iffy, but she is centuries old dammit! She will admit to having a rotten taste in men..for illustration see her last boyfriend who turned out to be a demon, who she helped kill. Pity the whole "killing" didn't stick and now he is out for revenge! He unleashes some of the worst (but absolutely hilarious) luck on the clan. They are invaded and turfed out of their own home! Dar makes his presence known and the truth behind Malina's foggy memories of him, her own self esteem when it comes to magic and why she feels inexplicably drawn to someone her family should be vanquishing - not canoodling with! This clan is a hoot! I can neither confirm nor deny that some of these characters might be based on loony relatives of mine LOL! We don't do cavorting in the moonlight though - too damn cold here! The MacGregor clan is about to be ghosted as Dar returns for a little revenge against the only female cousin, Malina. Dar and Malina met sixty years ago in Vegas, where miscommunication and related issues separately them, especially after she tried to kill him. A lot of answers come out as to why she was sent away at an early age and why they are so protective of her now, not giving her a chance to prove her strength and power. The characters are terrific, with intense feelings and surprise responses that make you laugh. The storyline charges in with twists and drama.
