About this ebook

Escorted by the elven knight Shiran, Majima Takahiro and Lily arrive at a fortress within the monster-filled forest. There, they meet members of the first expeditionary force and Takahiro’s best friend Mikihiko. Not everything is as it seems, however. As the two of them begin to learn more about this world and its inhabitants, they must closely guard their secrets from all those around them.

Meanwhile, Gerbera, Rose, and Katou Mana remain hidden in the forest. They continue to keep a watchful eye on the fortress, but an unexpected event befalls them...

Good story and I enjoyed reading it. As the shortest book in series it felt too short. The literal cliffhanger ending just came to soon! So I gave it a 4 star instead of 5! I have really liked where Rose and Mana's relationship has gone but I would've liked more closure than literally cutting it off with the cliffhanger especially with the introduction of Gerbera. This book literally was missing Gerbera's perspective! Introduces more training but never really identifies the gain? All of the books really say actual meaningful growth is only gained by killing monsters. Magic development is another missing topic. Only insight is there is no insight and we are headed to book four already!
