Part 5 of this series shocked me. A great story is one that can't be predicted and this story, as well as the rest of the Gabriel's Trails series, is unpredictable. There is no way it can be predicted. This author is worth all the time because she obviously puts in the necessary thought to entertain her audience. Brilliant.
