It is refreshing to read a book whose main character is Muslim. The beauty of the book (series) is that Hyder Ali is an American going about his life. Granted it's a very interesting life!! Overall a great read. Well written with well developed characters and plot, and vivid descriptions. Several scenes made me quite hungry :-/ I would have given this book 5 stars if it had been edited properly.

I enjoyed the book.. easy to read, good pace and kept my interest. Wished it was longer. Only reason I didnt give it 5/5 was because the editing/proof reading was lacking in a few spots throughout the book. I am moving on to book 2 in the series. Hope it's as entertaining.

The story kept me interested... a good read! However, I like mysteries that allow me to try to figure them out rather than have the mystery solved and then just see how events play out.
