Confusing series with a plot like swiss cheese. Also the characters are about as interesting as watching paint dry. Plus absolutely no further development in plot, characters, mood etc. unless becoming more convoluted counts. Macabre for the sake of being macabre. I know its a comic book but it really couldn't be any more directionless than a blind fish in a paper bag. Also can I get a C for cliche? And those are my feels, probably from having misguidedly high hopes for this series.

Confusing, but in a way that implies that the mystery will sort itself out in time. Spoiler: it might, but by around book 6 I was questioning the investment. Essentially Lost as a prep school horror. I honestly would love this if it had been a little more episodic, but the many twists and reveals are wearing. And because every issue of every volume hinges on furthering the same overarching plot, burning out on that plot has retroactively soured my taste for the earlier volumes. Sad, because I liked the series when I cared where it was going.

I really enjoy these types of metaphysical mysteries. Combined with good pacing and well drawn characters, this was a real surprise.
