Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Olaf Dössel ist Leiter des Instituts für Biomedizinische Technik am Karlsruhe Institut für Technologie (KIT). Er promovierte in Kiel und war anschließend Leiter der Forschungsgruppe Messtechnik am Philips Forschungslaboratorium in Hamburg. Seine Foschungsschwerpunkte sind Herzmodelle und bioelektrische Signale des Herzens.
