Drugs, sex & Rock Roll This book was magnificently written from the past and present of Jack O'Donnell. Focusing on the love affair he had or has with 3 women. One he was addicted to having sex with, the other his sole mate that knew him inside and out, and one he may have a future with. It encompasses not only his love life, but the music he created with his band, his tragic.story of loosing his mither and growing up in abusive home with an alcoholic father, to homeless trying to follow a dream of making memorable music, the bands rise, his daughter, and his addiction to drugs and alcohol and trying to stay sober. I don't want to add any specific spoilers but this magnificently written story is one that will be memorable for a long time after finishing the book. I personally can't wait to dive in to book 2 to see where his life leads to with all of these very deep characters. I highly recommend setting aside some time for this book because you are not going to want to put it down.

A raw story about addiction unfolds alternating between past and present. Jack is that type of Hero that you want to hate but you can’t bring yourself to do it. Jack is a middle-age rock star who has made many of bad decisions in his life, and Erin who is a journalist, is tasked with writing about Jack for a popular music website. Jack begins to tell his life story to Erin, the past and the present leading up of events which has him where he is today. Jack is still suffering the consequences of his past, he and Erin become closer. I truly enjoyed the heartbreakingly Real and Emotional story that is Jack's life. A little Dark, a lot Real.. I had already heard that this author was the "collector of reader's tears." Now I can understand why. What Jack goes through is REAL. Jack O’Donnell is the self-proclaimed "villian" of his own story. This is a truth that journalist Erin Langford sets out to debunk. She wants the whole story. Every dark, angsty, emotionally crippling, word of it. He reluctantly agrees after a horrible situation hits the press that was supposed to be kept quiet. Blood and Bone takes you through every part of Jack's life, no detail is spared. Neither are the tears you will be shedding with the rest of the characters. If you can survive reading what this man goes through without breaking, there must be something wrong. I didn’t.
