About this ebook

“...a colorful, brilliant story that will introduce children to its subtle message of harmony and its endless visual experience of fun, laughter, and friendship.” —Readers’ Favorite

Daddy said, “Let’s have some fun,

enjoy a day out in the sun.

The forecast is for lovely weather.

Get our beachy stuff together.”

Jack’s dad surprises the gang with a fun-filled trip to beautiful Dewees Island off the coast of South Carolina, where Fred the Snake and his friends spend the day soaking up the sun and enjoying the seaside. From fishing and swimming to building towering sandcastles beside the waves, the beach is full of excitement, laughter, and adventure.

But when Bernadette gets swept far out to sea on her floaty, the relaxing beach day suddenly turns into a daring rescue mission as Fred and his friends work together to bring her safely back to shore.

Perfect for children ages 3–8, this fifth book in the Fred the Snake series captures the fun and wonder of a day at the beach while gently teaching important lessons about water safety, friendship, and looking out for one another.
