Leaving the unrest at home in Buffalo to join Simeon in Virginia is exciting;
Arriving to find she's already a widow is anything but.
What can she do now? The only person she knows here is his elder brother Noah, known as The Iron Judge, whom she despises.
Can she go home again? Absolutely not. But the sun is going down, and her only choice is to accept
Noah's offer of marriage. If she refuses, what will become of her?
He's nothing like Simeon. A hard man full of demands, he seems to live up to his reputation. And when
a killer arrives in their midst and the target is the child across the street, Noah's demands for her safety only increase.
Pippa Greathouse and Ruby Caine bring you a book filled with challenge, heartbreak, and laughter that will warm your heart in….
Christmas of Iron and Lace.

It all began with an assignment from my beautiful and elegantly coiffured fifth grade teacher, Mrs. J, who had our class write a short story and then to read it aloud.
So, I did. The story began with a group of my friends and classmates, who went on a fictitious camping trip.
Enter a grizzly bear. As it attacked the camp and body parts began flying, I looked up.
Poor Mrs. J. A twitch had appeared somewhere around her left eye, and she looked horrified. But she kept quiet and let me finish.
By the time the story ended, she was white as a sheet.
I admit, I learned to control the gore in my stories somewhat after that. But at the time, my friends all thought it was cool, so the stories kept coming, morphing into space and spy stories and eventually, (yes) Romances! And lately, Romantic suspense with Mystery and thrillers.Most of those can be found under the name Tessa Carr.
I so hope you enjoy them!

Ruby Caine grew up in a family which ran a weekly newspaper in a small Louisiana parish. The seventh child of eight, she suffered from ADHD and dyslexia.
Instead of paying attention in school, Ruby often dreamed up adventurous stories. Her favorite tales involve dashing, strong heroes and the sassy women they fall in love with. Her childhood heroes include Adam from the Ponderosa, John Wayne, and the professor from Gilligan’s Island.
She married her own hero in 1990 and they have four children, two who arrived after Ruby turned 40. Oh the stories she can tell about going through menopause while handing two toddlers less than two years apart, a precocious seven year old and an overachieving teenager.
