Luis Moreno is feeling dejected after seeing Mallory Alvarez flirting with other guys, and contrary to his habit Luis gets drunk on moonshine, and ends up complicating his life tenfold, not to say his sister Marisol’s, who is nearing the end of her rope. Marisol relishes her time with Patrick Murphy, but her hesitation to commit has him issuing an ultimatum, which leaves her even more confused. Ginny Moreno’s deception is beginning to weigh on her; she is beginning to behave a bit erratically as she fears that if the truth is known, she could lose it all, and she becomes unpleasant to her real family. The dreaded Senator Rush is after fresh meat, but Dakota Alvarez will not be deterred: she wants out of Storm, Texas, and he is her only hope. The political Rushes have a lot on their plate: getting rid of Dakota, separating Marcus Alvarez and Brittany Rush, all the while getting ready for Founders’ Day and for the upcoming elections. For anyone who has missed the first 5 episodes, TAKE THE STORM will get them somewhat up-to-date as Rebecca Zanetti succinctly recaps most of what happened previously. Having read all the episodes, I found it unnecessary, but that’s my opinion. I love how complex the characters and the relationships are, and most of all that I really disliked Dakota, and now she has become one of my favourite characters. I hope nothing awful happens to her; I understand the poor misguided girl. Ginny leaves me perplexed; she’s not so nice and sweet anymore, and poor, poor Marisol; I wish I could shake her! And while very little has been said about him, I wonder if my guesses about Jeffry Rush are right… Stay tuned for Episode 7 because the Storm is fast approaching! I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This is the sixth book in the series. This one is about Marisol and Patrick. Luis and Mallory. Brittany and Marcus. And of course Dakota. Patrick wants a real relationship with Marisol but she keeps putting him off. He tells her to choose: be with him or they move on separately. Luis is still trying to get Mallory to forgive him and she shows up at his house wanting sex. But her brother shows up and drags her home. Brittany continues to see Marcus despite her family's objections. And Dakota thinks the Senator is going to leave his wife for her but she is deluding herself. *RECEIVED A COPY FROM PUBLISHER FOR HONEST REVIEW*
