Manga for SAO is alright but leaves out alot since they release the Manga after the show. If you truly love this series, do yourself a favor and read the light novels. They are what the anime is based on and have alot more information as well.

This was my first voyage into the world of SAO - even though it had been recommended to me several times - and, I enjoyed it very much.
