About the author

Robert Coutts is a first-generation Canadian and the eldest of four children born in an Indian immigrant household. He earned his Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Education degrees from York University and his Master of Education degree from Mount Saint Vincent University.

As a teacher who prioritizes being student-centered, Robert has been teaching in collaboration with the Toronto Catholic District School Board since 2010. In his teaching, Robert utilizes a dynamic, kid-friendly approach to classroom management.

Robert's teaching methods are largely facilitated through financial literacy. This kind of focus encourages positive, equitable behavior and academic excellence. His type of classroom management system serves as a matrix economy, which allows students to feel both challenged and worthwhile.

Outside the classroom, Robert can be found coaching volleyball at his school, watching TV and movies, playing video games, working on home renovations, or spending quality time with his wife and family.

Debasish Sarma is an illustrator and an alumnus of M.S. University Baroda, India. He began his career as an illustrator and cartoonist at the Times of India and now works with many national and international clients.

Debasish has illustrated numerous books for children, including the award-winning picture book Mutthasi's Missing Teeth. In 2019 and 2021, his picture books were nominated for the Jarul Book Award
