This is as good a book as I've ever read to counteract some of the knee-jerk reactions that many people have when trying to improve their relationship with the Lord. It anticipates many problems that one is likely to encounter and rationally addresses them. The second section talks about identifying Christ in those around us and is great for working on the virtues. The last section is about the seven last words of Christ and a deep reflection on each one, concluding with a final reflection on Easter, all emphasizing that our Lord desires nothing more than a true friendship with Him.
