Diabetes, commonly called blood sugar, means you have too much glucose in your blood. This can lead to serious health problems like cardiovascular disease, nerve damage, eye damage (retinopathy, cataract, glaucoma, blindness), infections, kidney damage, skin conditions, osteoporosis, dementia and stroke. Diabetes conditions include type 1 diabetes, type 2 diabetes and gestational diabetes.

Type 1 diabetes can develop at any age, but usually it is diagnosed in children and young adults and is known as juvenile diabetes. The causes are often a genetic susceptibility, environmental factors or the immune system attacks and destroys your insulin-producing cells in the pancreas. Too little or no insulin is made. Insulin is a hormone that is needed to convert sugar, starches and other food into energy needed for daily life.

If you have type 2 diabetes your body does not use insulin properly. Your cells become resistant to the action of insulin, and your pancreas is unable to produce enough insulin to overcome this resistance. Instead of moving into your cells where it's needed for energy, sugar builds up in your bloodstream (hyperglycemia). This type of diabetes is the more common type of diabetes, is often preventable and can develop at any age.

Symptoms of diabetes are increased thirst, frequent urination, neuralgia, hunger attacks, weight loss or overweight, itching, fatigue, general unrest, blurred vision, slow-healing sores, high blood pressure and frequent infections. Also tingling, numbness and burning pain that usually begins at the tips of the toes or fingers and gradually spreads upward are signs of diabetes.

In this naturopathic adviser, I will give you recommendations how to treat and prevent diabetes with the help of Homeopathy, Schuessler salts (also named cell salts, tissue salts, biochemistry) and Acupressure. I will present you the most proven homeopathic remedies and Schuessler salts, including the appropriate potency and dosage.

Acupressure comes from the Far East. During the acupressure treatment special points are pressed, massaged or rapped. As long as the energy is distributed evenly throughout the energy channels (meridians) of the body, the person is healthy. When the energy flow is disrupted, the person is sick. By treating certain points, the energy between the meridians will be balanced and the patient gets enough power to become healthy.

Homeopathy works holistically and treats the whole body, spirit and soul. I wish you much success in your treatment, joy of life and especially your health.
