This book had me gripped right from the beginning, when we were on holiday and I am afraid I quite neglected my husband as I took it with me everywhere. My husband does not share my love of reading on holiday so he was quite happy with his suduko. There were parts of this book where although she had lost her memory she could still perform daily tasks, I would have thought she would have lost her memory completely, nevertheless I could not put the book down. I thought I had guessed the ending but nothing could have prepared me for the disappointing end, what a complete let down. Having read the book all the way through I still do not know whether she woke up the next morning and could remember the day before and I feel I wasted my time reading it. I was going to pass the book on to my daughter but after that ending decided not to bother.

I very rarely award a book 5 stars. The research that must have gone into this book to achieve the level of insight and believability of the main character's amnesia must have been immense. And if the insightful psychology weren't enough, a thoroughly gripping intrigue of curious contradiction between broken memory and current reality kept me absolutely hooked, never sure if there was a perfectly mundane explanation or something far darker! This has gone straight on my favourites list!

This was a badly researched book and I found it highly irritating. As someone who did suffer tremendous memory loss after an accident, that's really not what it is like at all. To me it was more wild imagining than anything I could relate to.
