Note: While this series is set in the same world as the Weary Dragon Inn, it's not necessary to have read that series to enjoy The Pobyd Perfections Bakery Series.

If you're coming here after the Weary Dragon Inn, congrats! You'll love this series too (though you totally don't need to read that one first). Lillie is a magically baker trying to make her way in a new world that finally allows magic again. Luckily, there's some really interesting characters (including a dapper talking mouse) in this town that are sure to make life fun! If you're a fan of cozy fantasy, baked goods, and talking mice with a drizzle of magic, then this is the series for you!

This might be even better than TWDI! Lillie's character is fantastic- she's shown (and continues to show) such growth from her time in Lower Pigsend and I love the way she's passing on second chances and the lessons she learned from Bev. However, my favorite part is the DIRECT COMMUNICATION! It's so refreshing to read a book without miscommunication/lack of communication being one of the main plot drivers. I'm really excited to read the second book!

Lillie gets her own series and based on this book it will be just as good as the Weary Dragon in series. It is a great cozy series and I love seeing her trying to settle into her new life.

About the author

 S. Usher Evans was born and raised in Pensacola, Florida. After a decade of fighting bureaucratic battles as an IT consultant in Washington, D.C., she suffered a massive quarter-life-crisis. She decided fighting dragons was more fun than writing policy, so she moved back to Pensacola to write books full-time. She currently resides there with her husband and kids, and frequently can be found plotting on the beach.
