Fallon has loved Dean nearly all her life and now she’s determined to get her man, even if he’s off limits. I love a brooding, tortured— by the guilt of loving someone he shouldn’t —hero, and that’s definitely Dean in this wonderful Age Gap, must read novella. Saffron Kent writes such beautiful and haunting words that take you on a heartwarming journey of forbidden love. With exciting cameos from previous books this (can be read as a standalone) sequel to Medicine Man is an absolute must read!

California Dreamin' is a delectable and emotional tale from Saffron A Kent, one that hit all my buttons as only this author can do. From Fallon's sweet and sincere proposal to Dean when she was three, to her grown up determination to win Dean's heart as an adult, her perseverance is awe-inspiring. He may be much older, but he's everything she ever imagined when she dreamed of a love like her parents have. Dean has always been a fixture in Fallon's life, but he fought his attraction through long distance, strong will, and a huge amount of respect for her parents. A totally swoonworthy hero, I loved watching Dean struggle against Fallon's budding confidence and seductive intent. Watching this couple's relationship intensify was so much fun! One of my favorite parts of the book, beyond the main couple, was the glimpse into the thoughts of other characters from the series. I cannot wait to see what else Ms Kent has in store for us!

I have so much love for Fallon and Dean. I loved their short story when it was first released in the Mixtape anthology and I love it even more that it has been expanded and released as a novella. As a card carrying forbidder romance junkie, this couple checks so many boxes for me and Fallon an Dean are quite simply, easy to adore and root for. Their story is sweet, steamy, poignant, emotional and just plain beautiful. Trust me when I say you will smile, you will laugh, you will cry, you will swoon and your heart will melt!! I loved the extra content that was added to this book, loved spending time with so many beloved characters and I loved getting a peak into the future of these characters and I am so incredibly thankful that the author penned such a wonderful treat! However, I had hoped this would be the full length book that this couple so richly deserves and sadly this is not that. It is wonderful, but I'm still left craving more. Maybe I'm just greedy but I choose to blame the author for creating such amazing characters that they become an obsession!! LOL This is my sincere, volitional review.
