About this ebook

A new stand-alone hockey romance from USA Today bestseller Sarina Bowen.

On the eve of her thirtieth birthday, sports agent Bess Beringer is ready to make some changes. Armed with a five-year plan—indexed and color coded—she’ll tackle her personal life with the same zeal that she brings to her successful agency.

A big, tall, ripped hunk of hockey player who’s just been traded to the Brooklyn Bruisers is not a part of that plan. Mark “Tank” Tankiewicz has a lot of baggage. He’s a ride-or-die loner with a bad reputation. He’s on the rebound. He’s also the sexiest thing on two legs, and for some crazy reason it’s Bess that he wants.

She knows better. But then she falls stupid in love with him anyway. And for a while it seems like maybe he’ll do the same.

Until she asks him for the one thing he can never give her…

5 STARS Every time I pick up a book in Sarina Bowen’s Brooklyn Bruisers Hockey Series I know I’m going to love it. These characters, their love interests and families are so deep in my heart. These books have so much humor and heart. I devour every single word and Sure Shot was no different. It exceeded all my expectations and more. It’s been 9 years since Tank and Bess had engaged in a friends with benefits sexual relationship. Bess is a sports agent and Tank has just been traded to Brooklyn from Dallas and are shocked at being thrusted back into each other’s lives. Neither are ready for the other and they have some seriously intense chemistry. Tank is everything I love about a hockey hero. He is a broody, confident and sexy. He goes after what he wants and I immediately loved the connection between him and Bess. The texts back and forth, their witty banter and the way he shows up for her and doesn’t relent in his pursuit of her I loved. On the team Tank has his work cut out for him. He is not so welcomed on the team and is also going through a divorce. Bess, I adored. She is the sister of Dave Beringer who we met in Bountiful. Bess has worked hard. She is focused and career driven. She has made it in a man’s world and I loved her feisty, heartfelt, protective side towards her players. I really loved the emotional side of Sarina’s writing in this book. I didn’t expect it and adored it. Pick this one up ASAP. You won’t be disappointed. *ARC received in exchange of an honest review.

I have oodles and oodles of love for this book!! I always know I am going to be so thoroughly entertained and satisfied reading one of Sarina Bowen’s books! She’s an excellent storyteller and this is the perfect blend of incredibly lovable characters, emotion, passion, humor and hockey all wrapped up in one amazing story. I love the Brooklyn Bruisers series and can’t possibly pick a favorite, but If I could it might be this one. Mark “Tank” Tankiewicz and Bess Beringer see each other again for the first time in almost a decade. They had a brief fling all those years ago but Bess was just starting out as a sports agent and she thought hooking up with a hockey player was not the best idea, so she broke it off. Fast forward 9 years and the chemistry and attraction is still there. Actually it is stronger and deeper. Seeing their sparks turn into a full blown five alarm fire is the best thing ever! There is so much to Mark and I love when he finally lets Bess all the way and likewise really. I felt for Tank so much I just wanted to hug him so bad for all he went through. And Bess too, for all the awful things she went through as a child. They are such special and amazing people no doubt due to their inner strength and heart. There is no way you can read this and not fall in love with this couple and root for them every single moment to find their HEA. I absolutely adore Mark and Bess so much!!

5 Star Review of Sure Shot (Brooklyn #4) by Sarina Bowen This was a fabulous read. Sarina Bowen had me from the first to the last page hook, line and sinker. This is Bess Beringer and the latest recruit to the Brooklyn Bruisers, Mark “Tank” Tankiewicz story and is a second chance at love story that ticked the boxes for me. Tank and Bess, are two halves of a whole; having had a fling years ago, Bess left Tank and he moved on. Now they find themselves face to face again. Despite having her life mapped out, Bess is still attracted to Tank, even though they both have baggage. The friendship and banter between them was realistic; the chemistry intense and absolutely sizzles, it’s just a shame that they continually miss communicate, that got a tad frustrating at times. There pain of both Bess and Tank’s pasts really got to me, bringing me to tears. On a brighter note it was great to catch up on previous couples and see what is happening with them. Sure Shot was a well written, fast paced story with characters you cannot help but like and quickly become invested in.
