A race for survival from the #1 New York Times bestselling author of Uglies! This harrowing tale of supernatural menace kicks off a new series from the visionary mind of #1 New York Times bestselling author Scott Westerfeld. When a plane crash-lands in the arctic, eight young survivors step from the wreckage expecting to see nothing but ice and snow. Instead they find themselves lost in a strange jungle with no way to get home and little hope of rescue. Food is running out. Water is scarce. And the jungle is full of threats unlike anything the survivors have ever seen before -- from razor-beaked shredder birds to carnivorous vines and much, much worse. With danger at every turn, these eight kids must learn to work together to survive. But cliques and rivalries threaten to tear them apart. And not everyone will make it out of the jungle alive. BONUS! In the Horizon multiplatform experience, you’re not just reading about the castaways, you’re one of them. Join the race for survival in the FREE game, available on your browser and as an app.

Gameknight999’s best friend in Minecraft is dying, and only the User-that-is-not-a-user can save him!

Herobrine, the artificially intelligent virus intent on escaping Minecraft and infecting the Internet with his evil, was captured after an epic showdown on the shores of Minecraft. Gameknight999, having trapped the virus in an unlikely prison, saved the lives of his friends in the game and was finally able to return to the physical world.

Everyone thought the Last Battle was over and Minecraft was safe . . . but they were wrong. The powerful evil held within Herobrine’s prison is leaking out into the fabric of Minecraft and attacking Crafter, the most sensitive NPC on the server and Gameknight999’s best friend. With Crafter’s life in jeopardy, Gameknight999 and his father, a Minecraft noob, have no choice but to return to the game again. As they journey to The End to destroy Herobrine, Gameknight and his friends will face two of Herobrine’s most hated creations: the zombie-king, Xa-Tul, and the king of the endermen, Feyd. With Crafter’s life hanging by a thread, Gameknight999 must find a way to thwart Herobrine’s plans before the virus’s poison kills his best friend.

The final chapter in the series that began with The Quest for the Diamond Sword—will Steve and his friends find Mine Mountain and get the legendary treasure?

When Steve’s friends Max, Lucy, and Henry get their hands on a map with the location of the legendary Mine Mountain, Steve questions if the map is a fake. Going to this fabled mountain, rumored to contain an endless supply of diamonds, is every treasure hunter’s dream. Many believe the mountain doesn’t exist, and although Steve is doubtful about the map’s authenticity, the gang convinces Steve and Kyra to embark on a journey to find this magical mountain.

On their trip, Steve and his friends stumble upon a town filled with friendly folk. While there, they meet other treasure hunters who are also searching for Mine Mountain. As the group joins forces with their new treasure hunter friends, creepers attack them. The closer they get to the famed mine, the more creepers appear. The group doesn’t know if this is the work of a griefer or if the creepers are trying to hide something.

Will they stop the creeper attack? Will they get the diamonds? And should Steve and his friends trust these new treasure hunters? It’s a test of trust in this journey for treasure. Find out in this thrilling sixth and final installment of the Unofficial Gamer’s Adventure series!
