To me this book was a little different from your normal romance books. The story started off a little slow and I felt a little lost in the beginning. I think it would have been helpful to start off as to why Aiden was helping the FBI. It felt like the beginning jumped right into the middle of the story. The FBI is using Aiden’s garage for an undercover operation. What they thought was going to be a yearlong undercover operation to shut down some drug dealers, has turned into three long years. The Feds threaten to shut down the operation if they don’t see results soon. So Aiden and his team step things up. Aiden is hired by Madison’s cheating, drug dealing ex-husband, to retrieve a hard-drive Madison took from him when she left. After getting away from her ex, Madison just wants to live her own life. But not only is she being harassed by her ex and cops asking her to get evidence against her ex, she now has this "bad boy” looking for something. She is determined not to get involved with any more ‘bad boys”, especially one she thinks can get her killed. But they can fight their attraction for only so long. While the H and h were interesting characters, I think the secondary characters were more appealing. I liked how they all worked as a team. Overall this was a solid story. You just need to give it time because it does pick up. I am looking forward to the stories of the other characters.

This one has a lot going on and starts out a bit sluggish but I'm definitely glad I stuck with it. There is a ton of action with fast cars, roller derby,and undercover FBI operations but there is also a great romance between Aiden and Madison. This one looks like a great start to what could be a great series. Can't wait to read the next one. This is one I definitely recommend.
