Parks and Provocation is the first contemporary romance from Juliette Cross and she totally nailed it! Jed was a great Hero, he's caring, kind and totally besotted with Lola. His relationship with his friends and family and his work shows he knows and values what's important in life. Lola is certain she knows where her life is going and how she is getting there. Ending up back in Green Valley wasn't in those plans and she's certain it will only be a temporary move until her plans are back on track until Jed comes along and makes her question everything. The emotions are palpable and the humour is intertwined in the story making the characters even more enjoyable. If you are looking for a sweet, steamy second chance romance where the romance sparks on the page Parks and Provocation is a fantastic choice.

This author has been holding out on us!!! Her first contemporary and I can’t express just how much I loved Lola and Jed. Usually, I like to mention a few things about the heroine and a few things about the hero. Except, Jed and Lola together consumed me. I couldn’t get enough of them. Every time they were together the tension escalated, the past began to reveal itself for what it truly was, and the future was looming closer. It was all so intense, so real, and so, I’ll say it again…CONSUMING, that I could not stop reading. It’s been a long time since I’ve struggled to write a review because I loved a book soo much there were just no words, but here it is! I will definitely be rereading this one and I hope we get more of Lola and Jed as well as the rest of this group Ms.Cross has created.

Flaming fireballs! Lola and Jed were gonna light you up with their chemistry. Strapping fireman, in touch with his emotions and is ready to grab onto the girl of his dream with both hands. Down on her luck marketing exec who needs to show everyone, including herself, what a great success she is. Add in a dating podcast, awesome besties and a town that is in on the big romance-that-never-was! These two had some luggage that they were carting around: miscommunication, hiding difficulties, quick to insult but slow to think! I loved learning all the intricacies of their coulda been romance whilst they finally got their collective acts together. Who knew that under that colossus frame was a cinnamon roll centred firefighter with a core of naughty! These two have some EPIC dates I'll tell ya. Fun and family, cute but smexy dates, and some bodacious besties. Everyone needs a Marley in their life!!
