Angelica is stressing over the rehab of the inn and everything going wrong. They don't have much time to get everything together for the festival. Thelma's friend Sophia is early and wanting to stay there. Angelica doesn't like Sophia, something about her is off. Angelica is meeting her friend for a run when she sees a something in the lake. Angelica realizes who it is. Sophia is dead and this will bring the wrong attention to the town. Angelica and Vance will work to find out who is behind the murder. They realize just who Sophia was, they keep finding people that she had wronged. This book was so much fun to read. You will be pulling to the mystery of the murder and everything else Angelica is dealing with. You will be so surprised by who did and what happens. The author pulls you into the world and you will not want to leave. I love the characters of the book, each brings something interesting to the series. Looking forward to see where her relationship will go with Vance. Really can't wait for the next adventure in this series.

Tricky Paranormal Cozy Mystery This cozy, paranormal mystery is the second book in its series. I think a reader would not be lost if the books were read out of order. But, as usual, the reader would enjoy the series much more if the books were read in order. The series has the somewhat tired trope of a 'new' witch who is really inept at her craft. The plot, however, is really good. This one is a really powerful murder mystery with some great twists. It will keep the reader's interest until the final reveal!

Really enjoyed it, only thing I hate about these books is always leave you hanging so got to buy more. Would be nice to occasionally read a book that's just one book not a whole series
