"I have received this book for free from the author in exchange for an honest review. Stephanie Erickson is a new author for me. This is the first book of hers that I have read, and I can say I loved it! The story was quite different from other books, and it drew me in right from the beginning. Mackenzie knew at the age of 5 that she was different from anyone else. She found that by listening to music, it helped her cope with all the noise around her. She was diagnosed with SPD and given and ILS to help her concentrate and focus. The only problem was she didn't have SPD - She was a mind reader. A mind reader who felt all alone because she couldn't share her secret even with her best friend. Through a string of occurrences, she meets a man named Owen who asks her to join their organization, and she must decided between that and a wonderful job offer from someone else. After much thought, she decided to accept Owens offer. What happens next will intrigue you and keep you reading far into the night. I cannot wait for the second book to come out! Do yourself a favor a get this book today.

"I have received this book for free from the author in exchange for an honest review" I am so glad that I read Unseen(The Unseen Trilogy Book 1)as soon as I could, I usually wait to get into series, but this drew me in right away. Stephanie Erickson is a new author to me, but I was not disappointed. It keep my attention to what would happen next. Each page led me to know the characters better and the storyline was refreshing. You will enjoy yourself in the fantasy of this story.

Mac was a main character I could get behind. She’s confident and somewhat confrontational and can stand up for herself. She’s logical and to the point, but is also creative and intelligent. I really liked her. Maddie was also a character I took an instant liking to. She was funny and quirky in her own way. The interactions between Mac and Maddie were super fun. Their banter was humorous and cleverly written, with a sense of reality that kept my attention throughout the dialogue. I was a little disappointed at the predictability until the end when the author introduce one whammy right after the other. What a climax! As this is a fantasy novel, of COURSE the main character was special, but I got bogged down in this predictability. She is special. She is more special than the other special people. However, even within this predictability I thought the context of mind reading was interesting and well written. To note as well, the thoughts of the men in the beginning were exaggerated as if they were a female’s take on what a man would be thinking, but who knows, I’m not a guy, maybe a guy’s thoughts really are like she describes. I also noticed there were quite a number of characters

Stephanie Erickson writes dystopian, paranormal, and fantasy.

Her weaknesses include sub-par fast food burgers, sugary cereals, and semi-plausible end of the world movies.
