Three sisters, who have one thing in common, they were all dumped on the same weekend. This story tells the growth that they each go through with the breakups. Ali, is dumped by her fiance 2 months before the wedding. He doesn't even do the dirty work, but sends his brother, Daniel to tell Ali. All I can say is that I loved Daniel!! He was always there to pick up the pieces for Ali. We all need a Daniel in our lives!! Finola, a morning talk show host, who finds out her husband, Nigel is having an affair with young singer. It took me awhile to warm up to Finola, but she matured so much through out the story. Learning it takes two to make or fail a marriage. Zennie, dating Clark but both decided her heart wasn't in it. Who needs a man anyways, at least that is what she thought. She has decided the best thing she can do in life right now is to become a surrogate for her best friend. How hard is a pregnancy?? Then add is their mother, who just wants to be a grandma! This book is packed full of emotion and humor, that you don't want to see end. I loved these sisters!!

I really enjoy a story with sister dynamics, and California Girls sure delivers. Finola, Zennie, and Ali have very different lives and on the surface all seems good, and then in one day it isn't. Finola is blindsided by a cheating husband, Zennie feels she is not meant for love, and Ali has her almost brother in law arrive to warn her that her fiance is not going to show up on the wedding day. Each sister tries to cope in her own way and on her own, they all finally realize that they are each others best support. Finola gains the strength she needs to face her new life and embrace it, Zennie makes a decision that is a blessing to her best friend and finds her happiness in a "friend" who supports her, and Ali realizes that true love comes with a most unexpected person. Each sister grows, gains strength, and finds their right path while building a stronger bond together.

California Girls by Susan Mallery. Fiona, Ali and Zennie are three sisters who all get broken up with on the same day. Fiona finds out her husband is cheating, Ali finds out her fiancé no longer wants to get married and Zennie is broken up with after a second date. Reading about their struggles as they come to terms with things and then move on made for a very good book. It shows the feeling of being the most important sister or at least thinking you are, it shows the camadarie of sisterhood and it shows the love of sisters. Ali finds love with Daniel, Zennie finds love with Clark and Fiona gets a divorce and moves to New York. I really enjoyed the way this book was written and recommend to anyone looking for a good book about sisters.
