Daughters of the Bride by Susan Mallery. The book tells the story of planning the wedding of Maggie and Neil she is the mom of three daughters by the youngest Courtney. It has the love story of Courtney and Quinn which has lots of twist and turns. Courtney keeps secrets from her family that end up hurting her sisters and her mom. The story of Rachel and Greg and their son Josh, as they realize that they are still in love even though they have divorced. and the story of Sienna and her ex fiancé Jimmy. she does get engaged to David which is a mistake from the beginning. I liked the fact that this book told 4 love stories in one book. it was very easy to read and I recommend it to anyone looking for a romance with a little substance because Susan Mallery develops the characters in such a way that you feel like you could know them if you ran into them on the street. I truly love a book by Susan Mallery.

I love how Mallery seamlessly melds comedy with emotion, tough decisions with the joys of everyday life. This novel definitely packed an emotional punch, portraying life at its best and at its worst. The setting that Mallery develops is both vibrant and unique, containing aspects that really make it stand out. The cast of characters was definitely quite varied. I love how different the sisters were. Throughout the bulk of the novel I found Sienna to be just plain inconsiderate, caring about no one but herself, regardless of what her job is. She was a typical middle child, x10. On the other hand, I really liked how Rachel had her eyes opened to who she was and how she acts/reacts to others. Her growth was fascinating. Courtney was definitely my favourite character. She’s such a fantastic, vibrant and original individual that I couldn’t help but root for her. And don’t discount the males in the lives of all these females. They’re fantastic but I’ll reveal too much about the story if I delve into it. This novel was filled with emotion of every shape and size, and wraps up in an ending that definitely made me smile. This is definitely a tale well worth reading. Please note that I received a complimentary copy of this work in exchange for an honest review.

ARC Review: Daughters of the Bride by Susan Mallery Daughters of the Bride is meant to be a classic. With each novel I read I fall deeper in love with Ms. Mallery's characters and her narrative style. She not only imparts sage advice, but creates stories that are a joy to experience. Daughters of the Bride is a story told with tenderness and nostalgia about the bonds of family. Devotion and understanding are essential to the dynamic of family BUT learning how to love enough to let go is one of the most important decisions a person can make. With the help of surrogate mother Joyce, Sienna, Courtney and Rachel through self-examination discover the strength of love, forgiveness and healing. With a little bit of romance and a great deal of heart Susan Mallery has created an emotional masterpiece.
