Ratings and reviews

I really did enjoy Kane and Aspen's story, it was interesting too. It just didn't make me hang on to it and not put it down until I finished. I understand being hurt but to me he was too unsure of himself. She took way too much of the unfair treatment her ex was giving her. It took something terrible to happen before someone spoke up for her. Even then, her team still wouldn't include her and treat her as an equal. Life in the military is hard for a woman which is sad because they risk life and limb just like their male counterparts.

Appreciated Kane's protectiveness towards Aspen. He showed her she could develop friendships beyond the Ranger team that ignored her diligence and efforts. Ambushed while deployed in Afghanistan Aspen shows her mettle as she cares for Sargent Hedine and the other Ranger. The Houston flooding brought a surprising turn of events. Definitely a great read.

so sad there was an f-bomb within the first 15 pages of the 300+ page book. doesn't bode well for the language for the rest of the book. that is totally not necessary. started off well though so if language doesn't bother you you'll probably enjoy this book.
