About the author

Suzanne Bobo is a freelance writer, columnist and photographer living in Kodiak, Alaska. A former teacher, administrator and editor, Suzanne earned her BA in econom- ics at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs and her MA at St. John’s College in Santa Fe, New Mexico. She enjoys knitting, salmon fishing and bowhunting.Brittany Tregarthen is a freelance writer, Special Olympics athlete and volunteer, and lyricist for the band Ocean Blue Rising. A 2007 graduate of Delta (Colorado) School District, she enjoys singing, dog-sitting and spending time with her boyfriend.
