An improvement over her book Wronged. Slow paced western historical about a match making mother falsely accusing a woman of theft. Strangely the town Marshal looks the other way when his brother kidnaps and holds the woman against her will at the family ranch pending a non-existent investigation for the "stolen" ring. The rancher and accused have fights, sex follows, gee I love him, gee she should stay crappy proposal, another (yawn) lame fight, woman leaves, he follows, you get it...The End, yawn.

Rose Severin is surviving in a world that is not so kind to a woman alone when she is broadsided by a honest as the day is long cowboy that will stop at noting to protect the family he loves. Travis Burnett is a rancher that believes he is looking for the perfect ranchers wife and is bewildered at the instant attraction to this gypsy con artiest that is trying to pull a fast one on his Mother (or so he believes) Boy do the sparks fly with these two head strong as can be opposites. This is a very entertaining and fun read that takes you back in time to a world long past with a family that I look forward to reading more about.

The story is good. However, the book could easily be cut in half. The author repeats the same thought so many times. I could skip pages and not miss any plot.
