About this ebook

My sister died the night he snuck into our bedroom.

I brought her back to life when I made sure he couldn't harm her again.

I promised I'd always protect her, that I'd always watch out for her.

I never thought I'd have to save her from herself...

To the moon and back...

From the stars to the ocean...

That was Marley and Cameron Bowen's secret code.

Twins born just five minutes apart, they have the perfect life... Until tragedy strikes just weeks after their eighth birthday and their father is killed by a drunk driver. Having trouble coping with the loss of her soul mate, their mother tries to find comfort in drugs and alcohol... And an abusive man with a penchant for underage girls. No longer able to stand listening to his sister's screams and cries every night for nearly three years, Cam takes matters into his own hands and they're finally able to escape the nightmare.

They're finally able to start over...

But the nightmare still haunts Marley. The years go on and she is forced to put on a smile, making everyone think she is the perfect, well-adjusted teenager she is supposed to be... Until she is faced with a painful reminder of her past during her senior year of high school and she's no longer able to keep on the mask she has been compelled to wear.

Another epic book by T.K. Leigh! Once again, she wrecked me with her writing and I LOVED it so much! We meet Cam for the first time in the Beautiful Mess Series and then again in Heart of Light. He is an amazing man and hero. This is his and Marley's story of growing up. Marley and Cam are twins and best friends. They were happy children until their father was killed and mother started doing drugs. At the age of 8, Marley is betrayed in the worst way that doesn't end until Cam takes matters into his own hands. After that, they are sent to live with their Aunt and Uncle. Living there was still hard on them, as they were expected to never talk about their past so Marley is a mess inside from the abuse. This book literally wrecked me. I ugly cried like I have never cried before in a book. T.K's writing is amazing. She doesn't glorify the abuse by writing it in detail and yet, still got her point across about the abuse so many children face today. My emotions were all over the place while reading this book, pain, love, hatred, fear, happiness, and respect for the strength of Marley. This is a book I will read more than once and I recommend it to everyone. Just be sure you have tissue

Oh Marley. You made me laugh. You made me cry. Your pain and anguish are something that nobody should ever have to endure. Your story was told so beautifully though. When I read Heart of Light, I knew that Cam was special. Now that I have read Heart of Marley, I am sure of it. Their story had a rough start but I was so glad that they got to experience 'normal' for a while. I was torn apart when it all came down at the end. The twists and turns were enough to keep me guessing and I was wrong on what I thought the outcome would be. Thank you TK Leigh for another awesome read. I look forward to reading everything else that you ever write!

About the author

T.K. Leigh, otherwise known as Tracy Leigh Kellam, is the USA Today Best Selling author of the Beautiful Mess series. Originally from New England, she now resides in sunny Southern California with her husband, dog and three cats, all of which she has rescued (including the husband). She always had a knack for writing, but mostly in the legal field. It wasn't until recently that she decided to try her hand at creative writing and is now addicted to creating different characters and new and unique story lines in the Contemporary Romantic Suspense genre.

When she's not planted in front of her computer, writing away, she can be found running and training for her next marathon (of which she has run over fifteen fulls and far too many halfs to recall). Unlike Olivia, the main character in her Beautiful Mess series, she has yet to qualify for the Boston Marathon.
