Holy hell in a handbasket! Another wild, mind blowing installment in this series! I LOVE when T.K. goes back to her romantic suspense roots! They're my absolute favorites of her books! I couldn't get enough of Lachlan and Julia. Their passion and intensity, their emotions and insecurities. Their shared devastating connection. I ate up every word of this book. Even with everything going on in this story, I was so happy that T.K. took the time to show us the real Lachlan and Julia, not the personas they present to the world. Especially Julia. Lord, that poor woman has been dealt the crappiest hand in life. From the time she was a small child. It's finally time that she has a chance at real love and happiness. And Lachlan is absolutely perfect for her. But are they going to get a chance to explore their feelings? Once again, T.K. hits us with a doozy of a cliffhanger! What the what? No way I would have EVER seen that coming! I don't know if I'm going to make it until April for the third book! I'm freaking out here! I am SO invested in Lachlan and Julia's story. So much was revealed this go around about what really happened to Lachlan's sister Claire, and his girlfriend Piper, all those years ago. My mind just raced all the way through at the pure genius that T.K. is when she's writing romantic suspense. She is an absolute master at crafting these complex, twisted stories that keep me guessing. And we have two more books to go! I'm so excited!

Oooh boy. Now we are really getting into the meat of this book. This one picks up where the other left off and thankfully we get a bit of a resolution from that shocking revelation. In this book we get a little more sexy stuff (Yay!) between Lachlan and Julia, but we also get more of the mystery that is starting to unfold. It's complex and I found myself trying to put all the pieces together and by the time I finished reading, I was completely shocked! I can't even begin to explain how much I love Lachlan and Julia. I am such a fan of the older woman/younger man trope and this one is SO GOOD. The two of them are just perfect together and I just get the warm and fuzzies with how amazing they are. And something happens towards the end of this book that is just so good. Now we still have two more books to go, so I am sure that the author will have plenty of twists and turns for all involved and I can't wait to read them. Let's be honest....TK knows how to keep us readers on the edge of our seat and she leaves us wanting more. ESPECIALLY with how this book ended!

This is book 2 in Leigh's Temptation series and picks up where book 1 leaves off - and Julia and Lachlan continue on their journey of how their lives are linked with past relationships causing guilt and what if's to surface. Another cliff hanger ending that is more gasping than the last and has me eagerly bouncing in my seat for more, more, more! A twisted tale full of steamy chemistry, romance and suspense!
