This is the 1st book in the Broken Crown Trilogy featuring Creed and Esme's steamy forbidden love story. From the first moment that I began reading this steamy forbidden love story I was hooked. Their story is intense there's intrigue, drama, emotion, chemistry it moves at a good pace and it has a lot of twists and turns enough to keep you guessing. The fact that Esme is royalty and is promised to another makes it difficult for her since she's in love with Creed who is not royalty. Will she pick Creed who she loves and who is in love with her who can't tell her no the story ends on a cliffhanger so we need to wait until the next book to see what happens. I would recommend reading this book and I'm looking forward to the next book in this trilogy. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I'm not quite sure what to think about this book. I started with a routine romance and ended with 3 unrecognized murders, hints of others and much collateral damage. Yet I don't feel abruptly disconnected like with a cliffhanger. I feel strangely fulfilled and curious. Since I imagine that is what the author wants, I have to say well done. The technical work is superb. Vocab tells the story precisely with no pesky mismatched metaphors, abused verbs or homonyms. The characters are a treat with hidden depths to be unearthed in subsequent books and tantalizing plot twists waiting in the wings. The pacing dragged a little when the lovers got a bit too carried away in their ecstasy but overall, moved well to the projected end. All in all, I think it's a terrific series starter with a promising future. I say go for it; I think you'll be rewarded.

Royal Creed is another well written gem from TK Leigh. This book was intense and sometimes tense. This is a forbidden love story of Esme, who is royalty and Creed who is not. So, yes, there is angst, emotion, drama, and chemistry. A good cast of characters keeping the story moving along. Esme's and Creed's story gives your emotions a workout. Are they destined to have a future together or will life and royal tradition put a stop to it. You will need to read the story to find out.
