I enjoyed the instant attraction between Julia and Lachlan – how each was compelled to orbit close to the other after only a quick meeting on a Hawaiian beach. Their chemistry was sizzling and undeniable. Despite a considerable age gap, and some serious personal baggage (which each was keeping secret), neither was prepared for how their no-strings, no expectations, short-term fling quickly began feeling like more – until a surprising revelation that couldn’t be mere coincidence, forced Julia to recall her traumatic past changing everything between them. There’s some mystery, suspense, drama and angst along with a steamy seduction and several explicit encounters. I’m looking forward to Persuasion to see how this twisty tale unfolds.

Holy wow, wow, wow, wow!! TK is the master of cliffies and this book leaves you stunned! I think I need a drink…between the angst, smexy time, mystery and cliffhanger. Absolutely love the Hawaii setting, suspense and the age gap trope. Lachlan is a high profile athlete that has suffered a great loss and he is an emotional mess. He’s taken a leave to try to get her his thoughts and has escaped to Hawaii. Julia is a single mom raising a young daughter that’s is growing up to fast. She is in Hawaii for work and is also dealing with some personal history that has left her on edge. Not necessarily looking for a relationship but actively thinking about her future and maybe taking some chances. These two characters will make you laugh, swoon and smile. TK has done an amazing job giving these two so much depth along with keeping the reader on their toes with the storyline. Counting down the days for book 2! I requested an arc and I am leaving my honest review.

I am hanging off a Cliff and loving it. I have never enjoyed a cliffhanger like I am loving this one. I made the mistake of staying up and reading the rest of Temptation. Why, you might ask. It is simply because I stayed away, staring at the ceiling just thinking of all the possibilities. So many possibilities. Lachlan, baseball pitcher, is home in Hawaii trying to cool off after the police declared his sister's death a suicide. He doesn't believe it. He refused to believe it. He is home trying to deal, surfing, sulking, being alone finding salvation in the surf. Julia is questioning everything. Her past haunts her. Her future daunts her, no longer sure what she worked so hard for is what she wants. Walking on the beach is peaceful. Wading in the water becomes painful as a jelly fish latches on bringing Lachlan to the rescue. Two strangers, both searching for anonymity. Two strangers, struggling with their pasts. Two strangers, not recognizing the other. What harm is there in a week of noncommittal sex. She will be his (Southern) Belle. He is her Chris (Hemsworth). No real names. No shared information. No Expectations. They just want an escape from all that haunts them. The nights are theirs as Chris and Belle. The days are for Lachlan and Julia. Until it isn't. One TV appearance with the news airing has everything collapsing. She now knows who he is and has decisions to make. She can't keep silent, but talking will crush them both.
