In this next installment of Sara’s life we find her faced with greater challenges than ever before. Picking up right where the last book left off, Sara and her group are in the midst of a battle. By default Sara becomes the leader and has to make some pretty tough choices. Those choices follow her when she and the group return to camp. Terah spends a lot of time in this book developing Sara’s character, but also developing the secondary characters that are so important to the story. This book is the perfect blend of magic, action, and dialogue. I can’t wait to see where book 4 takes us.

We pick up right were we left off with Sara fighting for her life and the life of her friends and colleagues. Sara has to learn about herself, her limits and how to use her gift. Once I started I couldn't put it down. The constant action kept me glued to the pages of my kindle. Just when you think that Sara is about to get a break and be able to function on more then just adrenalin, Terah gives us another twist that leaves us begging for the next book.

This is book 3 in the series & I have been waiting to see how the story progresses after loving the first books. Most of this book is taken up with one big battle where we see Sara learning more about her battle magic & then a few extra scenes tacked on the end. Just when I was getting really frustrated that there was no progression of the original storyline, finding out about Sara's quest to find out what happened to her father, the final chapter drops a big revelation & leaves you waiting for book 4. I didn't enjoy this book as much as the first two but it is still well worth a read & hopefully book 4 will be more about her quest.
