I would like to congratulate Ms. Medeiros for managing to cram the largest number of genuinely unlikable characters into a single book. The hero is a jerk, the heroine is a fool who just rolls over and tolerates him being a prick for the majority of the book, and with the exception of Irvyng and the Freddies, the remaining cast of supporting characters are JUST AWFUL. The plot is fairly predictable and the romance feels rushed, sloppy, and forced. I very nearly DNF.
