Author of Contemporary British Fiction and the Artistry of Space and Modernist Futures, his collaborative volumes on late twentieth- and twenty-first-century narrative include The Legacies of Modernism, Fiction since 2000: Postmillennial Commitments, and Andrea Levy: Contemporary Critical Perspectives.
