Walter Brueggemann is William Marcellus McPheeters Professor of Old Testament Emeritus at Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur, Georgia, and the author of numerous books including, from Fortress Press, The Word Militant: Preaching a Decentering Word (2007); Disruptive Grace: Reflections on God, Scripture, and the Church (2011); and The Prophetic Imagination: Preaching an Emancipating Word (2012). He is also the author of Reality, Grief, Hope: Three Urgent Prophetic Tasks (2014), From Whom No Secrets Are Hid (2014), and Ice Axes for Frozen Seas: A Biblical Theology of Provocation (2014).
