Ratings and reviews

This is the weakest entry of the "Big Sky" series, which is a pity because its plot hinges on mythology & magic, stuff I usually enjoy. Unfortunately Elsa Jade loses me at Lishelle's willingness to go along with a man whom she has every reason to believe is insane. It's a common enough trope - the heroine's instinctive trust of the hero, despite evidence to the contrary - but given Lishelle's fierceness up to this point, it doesn't ring true. I still liked the book, particularly the mythology parts; it just didn't hold my attention as much as some of the others.
