About this ebook

 They’re dreaming of a White Christmas…

Carly Gatlin can’t wait to take her fiancé to Colorado for a snuggly snow-filled Christmas, only a freakish summer storm sweeps in disabling everyone’s plans. Still, with holiday surprises in store and even a secret admirer for Stewart Island’s elderly notorious matchmaker, the happy couples of Oban might not mind being home for Christmas after all.

WARNING: If you’re new to the Stewart Island series, this holiday novella isn’t the book to start with. All your past favorite couples join in the seasonal craziness—and if you haven’t read the earlier Stewart Island books it’ll just be crazy-confusing.

This is most definitely a holiday novella, we see all our old favourite families, the newly engaged, the newly wed, the just pregnant and the new parents. If you haven't read at least some of the preceding novels in this series you won't have a clue what is going on - this is definitely an ensemble piece rather than a stand-alone about one character. Christmas Eve dawns on Oban and the weather (bearing in mind this is Summer in New Zealand) is bad so that Carly and Kip (Christmas with You) can't get away for their Christmas ski-ing in the USA and Bree and Harley (Drawing Me In) can't get away to their beach holiday with Bree's sister. Then the freezer at the pub breaks down and can't be fixed. Oh, and Mrs Betsy Taylor seems to have a mystery admirer who leaves thoughtful gifts on her doorstep. So what we have is a small town New Zealand community Christmas, complete with hangi, in which Christmas presents are given and received and secrets revealed. For followers of this series it is just 133 pages of sheer joy. I requested a free ARC copy of this book and I’m writing an honest review of it. I was not compensated for my review, and I was not required to write a positive review. The opinion expressed here is my own.

Home for Christmas by Tracey Alvarez Stewart Island #9 What fun to catch up with all the couples on Stewart Island! All are happy in spite of some having to contend with the weather, illness and thwarted plans. The most fun was finding out that octogenarian matchmaker extraordinaire has a secret admirer who is not revealed till nearly the very end of the story. Great fun and great glimpses into the lives of the wonderful characters living in a community I would love to visit someday – if it only really existed :) And…there is a new hunk to hear the story of in book ten when Noah Noah Daniels, Sheriff of the island, finally meets his match. I saw a few other single people in this story that might also star in future books of the series...and I look forward to each and every one of them! That said…it probably would be helpful to have read the previous books in the series rather than beginning with this one ;) Thank you to the author for the ARC - This is my honest review. 5 Stars

Christmas on Oban.....perfect! The arms of the Oban family welcome you once again and within minutes you are lost to anything but the Oban world. Yes, you need to have read the rest of the series to follow this novella and yes we always want our visits to Oban to be longer, but a short visit is better than no visit at all! It is lovely to have a 'catch up' book and all our favourite couples have made fantastic Christmas plans.......completely forgetting they live on Oban and the weather there has plans of it's own......once again causing havoc and preventing any sort of travel on or off the island! This may be a novella but it is jam packed full of love, sexy trysts, family antics, cute babies, Christmas fun, an overload of twinkly lights and even a secret Santa and unexpected Christmas romance, couple this with the community spirit which overflows every page and you have another hit! What more can you ask for?! I was sent an ARC of this book, the views expressed here are entirely my own and I was not required to give a positive review......but how can I not, I love this series!
