About this ebook

Take a little Miss Perfect. Add a bad-boy chef to the mix. Watch the sparks fly in the kitchen…

There’s a fly in sous chef Shaye Harland’s soup. A fly in the form of her brother-in-law to be, a cocky, infuriatingly sexy outsider who muscles in on her kitchen. Del’s gunning for her job and turning her ordered world upside down. If only he didn’t fry her brains with kisses that threaten to burn her resistance to ashes.

Winning a spot on a TV reality show is just what Del Westlake needs to repair the trashed reputation he left behind in L.A. Problem is, the film crew that arrives on Stewart Island captures more than cooking when the kitchen chemistry between him and Shaye turns explosive. Can Del keep his secrets, keep his hands off his delectable sous chef, and prevent his bad-boy ways from destroying his shot at being her Mr. Perfect?

"Just as the must-read series of Donna Kauffman (The Bachelors of Blueberry Cove), Jill Shalvis (Lucky Harbor), Terri Osburn (Anchor Island), Marie Force (The McCarthys of Gansett Island), Sherryl Woods (Chesapeake Shores) have entranced me with their seaside settings and caring communities - so has Tracey Alvarez - and I'm adding her series to my must-read shelf too."~ Fab Fantasy Fiction

I am quickly becoming a fan of Tracey Alvarez. She writes deeply emotional and thought provoking reads in a lighthearted way that holds the attention and entertains. Ready to Burn is a fun story with a lesson behind it. Opening the heart to forgiveness eases the soul, lightens the load and brings more opportunities for happiness. Yes Ready to Burn was a romantic love story between Shaye and Del, but also explored Del's relationship with his father. Once he allowed himself to forgive his father, Del was able to let the bitterness go and move on. This opened his eyes to new opportunities. Great read. I received a copy of this story for an honest review.

Chocolate and wine o’clock! I love this book, the third in a series that gets better and better with each book released. Shaye and Del are fun, fiesty, fiery, damaged, passionate, loyal, in denial and completely perfect for each other. Both are terrified of love and letting go......not that that means there can't be plenty of hot dirty sex....on the counter.... in the kitchen.....in the store cupboard..... in the shower....with frosting and without! But they both shy away from commitment, looking for faults and believing themselves unlovable long term. As with all the books in the Due South series this one is laugh out loud funny, steam your kindle up sexy, heartwrenchingly sad and beautifully sweet. It is not only the interactions between Shaye and Del that keep the pages turning, but also the support characters both old and new who are witty, interfering and completely outrageous. Once you start you cannot put this book down, you have to keep going to see just how bumpy and full of fireworks their road to a HEA is.
