It was a dark and cold night when it happened. When Kaleo became a spirit of the forest and he disappeared from the world. Unseen and unheard, he dedicated his life to protecting others. As the spirit of the jungle, he has magic on his side as he saves animals and people alike from bitter fates, but, this magic also comes at a cost. A cost so high one could barely imagine, for once you become a spirit, you become invisible to everyone, including family. As he watches from afar, the young and hopeful Kaleo can only dream of the beautiful life he once had.

Until one fateful day, it all changes. Bumping into a mysterious painter, and almost falling to his death, Kaleo meets the person that will change his life forever. The first human to see him in a year, Hayden. With his charming smile, beautiful amber eyes and flowy hair, Hayden jumps into Kaleo’s life, bringing back joy and energy into it. The two quickly bond and help one another, Hayden’s free-spirited nature reminding Kaleo of the unlimited possibilities life has and Kaleo’s positivity giving Hayden his confidence back. The two become an unstoppable team, but besides this beautiful friendship, something more appears: Love.

What follows is an exciting adventure of self-discovery in which both protect and help one another from the challenges that life throws at them. From old mysteries, to unresolved past events, united, they will face it all. And just maybe, they will even break Kaleo free.

Hello! My name is Tudor Marinescu! I am a young adult from Romania and I love books and music. I am also the author and illustrator of Kaleo and Hayden, Moonlit Rain, Celestial Forest and Dino! :)

Ever since I was a child, I loved creating stories and making people happy. This is why I started all of my artistic projects! Writing is my favourite as I am able to tell beautiful tales with exciting adventures and fun characters! I love making illustrations for my stories with vibrant colours that reflect the vibe of the book and even a soundtrack to go along with them. Making music is a very fun and relaxing activity. I absolutely adore it! With every song I try to capture the magical emotions we feel every day or the wonderful adventure of a story told through sound! Ok! Some fun facts! I am a dreamer and an idealist, always with my head in the clouds! I always try to be the best person I can be and help the ones around me! My favourite colour is blue, I love Italian food and any animal! Especially cats and dogs! Also! I am a super big fan of musicals!
