About the author

 Valerie Wohlfeld’s first collection, Thinking the World Visible , was chosen by James Dickey for the Yale Series of Younger Poets Prize. While writing that book, she lived in a three-hundred-year-old house in Massachusetts; she has continued to live in New England for more than two decades. She received a master of fine arts in writing from Vermont College. Published widely, her poems have appeared in The New Yorker, The Yale Review, Poetry, Antioch Review, New England Review, The Hopkins Review,  and elsewhere.
