Romance on the Ranch Series: Dream Kisses; Honey Kisses; Baby Kisses; Candy Kisses; Christmas Kisses; Rock Star Kisses; Forever Kisses; Forgotten Kisses; Angel Kisses; The Last Kiss

At the age of twenty-three, Tessa Branigan has already been married and divorced, and entering into another romantic relationship is not an option. She's perfectly content working as receptionist for Tanner Veterinary Clinic, owned by Preston and Toby Tanner, twins she's been friends with since childhood. Preston has asked her to dinner more than once, but she always finds an excuse to beg off. Unexpectedly, Sean Barfield returns to town to spend time with his family for some much needed R and R. She's known him since she was twelve and they palled around together. The crazy thing is, her heart goes ballistic whenever he's around, something she definitely doesn't want. Her solution is to avoid him as much as possible.  Besides, what would a famous musician like him see in a small town divorcee like her?

Sean Barfield escapes the fast life to regroup in the town of Paxtonville in Colorado where, as a teenager, he visited his birth father for a few weeks each year. But if he's honest with himself, he's also returning to see Tessa, the girl he first met when he was fifteen. He's always had a crush on her, so her marriage only a year out of high school came as a shock. But now she's divorced and living back in her hometown. The problem is, she keeps avoiding him. When a job opening to work as a ranch hand for her father arises, he applies for the position and is hired. He'll even muck horse stalls to prove he's just a regular guy.

About the author

Tessa Branigan, the heroine of Rock Star Kisses, has been through much heartache and I think it's time she found her happily-ever-after. She also needs to overcome her complex about her weight and see herself for the beautiful, caring, and compassionate woman that she is.

It seems that most of the books in this series have had more than one romance in the storyline, and this book is no exception. When Freckles entered the scene, I knew I had to follow the same pattern. And what a kick she is! I'll not give a spoiler, but I will say that her hero is about to have his world turned upside down.

I tried to bring many of the characters from past books into this one, which proved challenging at times. I calculated that the story time lapse between the epilogue in Dream Kisses and the beginning of Rock Star Kisses is about twenty years. The actual years it has taken to bring this story from concept to book six, is about five.

Ethan Cruz should be mending fences on his Montana ranch, but instead he's driving to the Chance Creek, Montana, airport - to pick up the bride he didn't know he had. This latest salvo in his ongoing practical joke battle with his best friend, Rob Matheson, has gone too far, and Ethan plans to send his "bride" right back home, then get busy plotting his revenge. One look at Autumn Leeds changes his mind, however. Perhaps he needs a bride, after all. A breathtakingly beautiful city bride.

Autumn Leeds needs a story - fast - or she's going to lose her lucrative contract with CityPretty Magazine, so when she sees the crazy video plea for a modern mail-order bride for a cowboy, it sounds like the story of the century. Making a video of her own, she casts herself as the perfect mail-order bride for a rancher, but when she finally reaches Montana, she's surprised to find Ethan's the perfect cowboy husband-to-be. Against her better judgment, her plan to keep her handsome groom at arm's length disintegrates into a night of passion spent in his arms.

Ethan knows he can't keep playing this game - he has to come clean with Autumn and tell her the truth; about the practical joke and about the state of his ranch. He's about to lose it all because of the debts his mother racked up before his parents' deaths. Now his sister, Claire, wants to sell the ranch and collect what little money they can. He'll be out of a home and a job, and in no shape to support the bride he desperately wants to marry, after all.

Autumn's in bigger trouble than ever. Not only has she fallen in love with the subject of her expose - she might be carrying his child. If she doesn't write this article and secure her contract for another year, she'll lose everything - her career, her apartment, and more importantly, her family's approval. The only alternative is to stay and marry Ethan. But how can she trust a man she's just met when she knows too well that men always let you down?

Can a love based on lies last?
For Amanda Jacobs, dealing with the pain of losing her beloved Dad is the toughest thing she's ever gone through, and it comes with a lot of complications, as well - like taking over the family business, Mountain Ridge Outdoor Adventures. It makes her miss the simplicity of being a teenager, when she was surrounded by her amazing friends, The Fabulous Four, and she was madly in love with her Dad's right hand man, Justin Barnes. His sexy smiles and deep brown eyes had made her heart race in a way she's never felt before or since. When the Fabulous Four unexpectedly show up on her doorstep to support her through this complicated time, things seem to be looking up for Amanda. But that's not the only surprise visit in store for her...

Justin Barnes left Hope Falls ten years ago, in the dead of night, and didn't think he'd ever set foot there again. That was just fine with him, except for one little complication: Amanda Jacobs. He had fallen in love with her unruly blonde curls and sparkling sapphire eyes, but she had been a teenager then, five years younger than he - too young for him to act on his attraction. Still, he'd missed her every single day of those ten years. When Justin receives a phone call that his former mentor has passed away, he knows he has to return to Hope Falls. Justin just has one question - will the girl that once adored him have grown into a woman that can't stand him? Or will she still be the only thing in the world that feels like home?

Romance on the Ranch Series: Dream Kisses; Honey Kisses; Baby Kisses; Candy Kisses; Christmas Kisses; Rock Star Kisses; Forever Kisses; Forgotten Kisses; Angel Kisses; The Last Kiss

Ann Hackstetter first met Jackson Martinez while vacationing at Lazy M Dude Ranch with her husband and teenage son. Part of the Dude Ranch Package was a night of fun at Boot Bustin' Barn. Ann suspected that Sage Tanner, owner of Lazy M, bribed Jackson to ask her to dance as a way of making her inattentive husband jealous. On a whim, she danced with him. Little did she realize that he would awaken emotions long suppressed. Of course, she ignored those emotions. Now, five years later, she's a widow--a destitute widow.

Over the years, her son's friendship with Sage's daughter, Julie, blossomed, and now they're getting married. Wedding responsibilities have temporarily taken Ann's mind off her desperate situation. At the reception, Jackson asks her to dance, once again awakening those emotions. He makes her feel twenty-one, instead of forty-one.

Jackson Martinez has an easy way with women. However, timid Annie sets his blood to boiling. She's older, has a grown son, and probably has an aversion to men after being married to a jerk. When Sage reveals Annie's sad state of economic affairs and says she's looking for a job, Jackson knows his heart is in trouble when he offers her a position running his household. Little does he know, or anyone else for that matter, that Annie has a secret.
