This is a story of many emotions. You are made to see how hidden truths affect many lives. The story of Grace and her family, past and present, affect many others. The location moves from her home in Bodmin Moor to the clay lands, both areas are well described and you can almost taste the different air. Talek the hero is so moral but again plagued by his hidden secrets. Along the way I enjoyed learning a little about the China Clay industry which was such an integral part of this tale. I loved the way the author wove together the different types of love in such a very readable way. Get your chocolate stash out and enjoy.

Perfect escapism for these difficult times! Escape to the past with this story. It opens with a very dramatic scene, perhaps a unique meeting! The story continues with twists and turns for our lead characters. A thoroughly enjoyable read from a very talented author of historical romances. Highly recommended
