About the author

Hi! I'm Wendy K Gray, an American Voiceover Actor, Singer, Songwriter, Author and Creator of Sidewalk Stories; A collection of books, audiobooks, coloring books and original music for kids.

I love what I'm doing and have put up my own time and money to bring Sidewalk Stories to the world. Originally, I created this as an animated series and it's still my ultimate goal. Kate Shannon has brilliantly brought my characters to life. I couldn't ask for more!

Sidewalk Stories is designed around the original Stop-Think-Act song. Join Bethany Butterfly and friends as they journey down the Magical ABC Sidewalk as they assess and eliminate ideas through trial and error and creative problem solving. And sing a lot of songs along the way! Perfect for classrooms and family story time.

I have published three Sidewalk Stories books, coloring books, e-books, audiobooks, ibooks with audio and songs and an electronic coloring ibooks, along with nine songs that accompany each story. Perfect singing voices aren't necessary, but imaginations are!

In The Lemonade Landing Mat, we embark on a hilarious and heartwarming adventure beginning with a mysterious empty juice box, and ending with a powerful lesson on the value of honesty.

In How Otis Oaktree Opened His Eyes, we experience a classic story of redemption as the search for Otis's courage takes them to places only dreamers could imagine!

Created by Wendy K Gray. Illustrated by Kate Shannon. Written by WKG and Kian Ahmadian.

In Meet Moby Mutt, we uncover the real reasons why Moby Mutt can't listen up as Trevor goes on a journey of understanding responsibility as a dog owner.

Years ago, I created Sidewalk Stories as an animated series idea. After rounds of meetings, even two with Seth Macfarlane, the series idea went nowhere. Defeated, I set it aside and hoped that someday I would find a way to make Sidewalk Stories a reality.

Fast forward ten years, I was asked to be interviewed on Ryan Drean's Producer Podcast show. Though very private, I agree. I wondered, what makes WKG interesting? I talked about Sidewalk Stories, my adventures of trying to get the show made. Reminiscing about my dreams of sharing Sidewalk Stories with the world. I realized I had lost hope. The death of a dream. I had quit.

Some things happen at the right time for the right reason. It fueled me to finally invest my own voiceover money to build Sidewalk Stories. With the help of Illustrator Kate Shannon, co-writer Kian Ahmadian, actors Jessica Anne Bogart and Kate Higgins, songwriters Randy Hoffman, Kate Higgins, Barry Young and Joee Corso I am bringing Sidewalks Stories to the world.

Will Sidewalk Stories get made into an animated series? Who knows. What I do know is that sometimes, some things happen at the right time for the right reason. Now is the time.
Sidewalk Stories Lives!
