I was interested in this book based on the premise: how a gamer doesn't like the idea of real life. The main character is a loner who lacks social skills and is just going through life because he has to. Until he one day he meets a girl who changes everything. The main character learns to enjoy life and improves his personal image as the story goes on. But I connect with this book more than I would have thought. When I was Tomozaki's age, I was the same. A gamer, a loner, didn't really have friends, and shy. I eventually came out of this shyness and grew into the adult I am today. This book allows me to self insert in to the main character's perspective very easily. I would have loved it if similar events happened to me. But hey, at least I get to read about it! I read all 5 books that are available and plan to pick up the rest as they are released!
