Billionaire Aiden Sinclair is taking one day at a time as he struggles with nightmares and his PTSD from his last tour of duty in the middle east. When his long-time Gal Friday, Faith Chapman drops a bomb on him that he’d never seen coming, he reacts badly and they part ways, but feels it’s for the best. He’s nothing but screwed up. Then, there’s an ultimatum from his father and Aiden finds himself homeless and penniless. Now he’s relying on Faith’s tender mercy as he’s drawn into her brainchild, Angel Paws, pairing dogs with wounded warriors, something that is close to his heart. Can Aiden allow himself to heal, ignore the paws already on his heart and accept Faith’s love?

Faith has been in love with Aiden from the moment she met him ten years ago when he took a chance on her right out of high school and hired her as his personal assistant. But after he came back from his tour of duty, he wasn’t the same man and Faith has struggled to keep her secret love for him under wraps. But when it slipped out during a close, tender moment with him and he reacted so badly to the declaration, Faith had no choice but to move on. Now Aiden is working with her to turn an inherited, rundown estate into a retreat for warriors mentally scarred from the battlefield and the amazing power of canine love to rescue these heroes. Will Aiden’s involvement help him to find his own path to healing? As they draw closer and closer together, can she even hope that he would ever return the love that still burns strongly in her heart and finally discover what matters most?

U.S. Navy SEAL Wes “Cowboy” McGraw goes home on leave to attend his tenth high school reunion. This brings him back into the orbit of a woman he knew in high school: Kia Silverbrook, renowned for her hacking ability. She’s always intrigued him and when they meet again by chance, the chemistry is still there as strong as ever. But Galveston isn’t home anymore since Wes lost the ranch after his father’s shocking death. He’s been saving up to buy it back, but he’s not sure he can go home again, especially now that he’s been pledged to the SEALs. He’s only home for a short period and long-distance relationships didn’t pan out for him in the long run. Cowboy has fantasized about this woman for years, the girl who was and is still worlds apart, one he’d never taken a chance on.

Hacker extraordinaire Kia has been making a sweet living doing some legal and not so legal hacking. But when a break-in makes her believe that a secret investigation she has been conducting may be blowing back at her, she doesn’t know where to turn. Except to Wes, the boy who had always intrigued her in high school with his cowboy charm and those ever-watchful, hot whiskey eyes. He was so far out of her league with her Goth dress and her pierced body. She has possible evidence that will knock Cowboy’s world off its axis, but now she needs Wes’s help. If this big, bad, gorgeous SEAL couldn’t keep her safe, she’d eat her computer. Could this man even look at her twice once the danger is over?

Rory Finnegan had one goal when he got out of the Marines. Find a place where he can settle down and open a tattoo parlor. That’s when his best friend Ethan Fairchild suggests he come to Suttontowne in the Louisiana bayou. It’s there that Rory gets a job bartending for Braxton Outlaw and runs smack full force into gorgeous, too young for him, Savannah Hawkins. To make matters worse, she’s got an over-protective mother and an upper-crust boyfriend. It would be smart he steered clear. But Marines like Rory don’t back down easily, especially after he gets much too involved with the southern beauty.

Savannah Hawkins is not sure what she’s going to do with her life and is quite sick of having everyone dictate to her, especially her family. When she gets a load of pierced, tattooed and gorgeous Rory, her interest goes off the charts. Complication like life decisions and a pre-selected husband seem inconsequential when she gets to know this scarred and battle-hardened warrior. Will she discover the answers she needs or will her coming of age tear her heart apart?
