About the author

Both of her parents chose medical assistance in dying—a legal option in Canada, where she lives—while her in-laws, believing they’d live forever, faced the challenges of dementia in their final years. These deeply personal experiences inspired jones to explore end-of-life issues through fiction, blending warmth, wit, and compassion to spark meaningful conversations about death and dignity.
