This book describes basic and advanced Aikido martial art techniques including locks and throws. There is very little philosophy in the book, being more of a nuts-and-bolts how to guide for the actual movements. What I feel is unique about the book is that there are references to other books described by other authors. This may help to bring about a better understanding of the nuances of different practitioners and styles executing the same technique. There are no photographs in the book, as the author is using illustrations primarily to convey the message.
