i mean it's just amazing. There's not a single word that could describe how i feel about this book, i definetly recommend this is one of the best books i've read in such a long time. Probably one of my all-time favourites if i'm honest. Don't waste your time, read this!

It was glorious. I felt like the book largely shifted to a different kind of humor somewhere around the second half but there's still just too much good stuff. One of my favorite bits was the depictions of War and Famine. Famine was especially chilling, because it felt so plausible. It's almost like a video I saw from "The Onion". 10 years ago it might have been funny, today it's too close to the truth.

This is the second Neil Gaiman book I've tried to get through (the first was American Gods) , and I think I can confidently say now his writing just isn't for me. It's meandering and clunky and just doesn't feel particularly respectful of the reader's time or interest, so I think this is the last book of his I'll be picking up. That said, I love his ideas. I just wish I could sit through his writing. Looking forward to Amazon's rendition!

Terry Pratchett (1948–2015) was the acclaimed creator of the globally revered Discworld series.
