A stunning collection of stories based on true-life cyber vulnerabilities, presented in two parts

Here be Dragons. In the Age of Discovery, unexplored areas of a map were often marked with this warning. Today, such a warning could easily be applied to the internet. Hackers and cyber assassins present a constant threat to individuals, companies, and institutions.

Protecting these targets requires a new kind of warrior, a cyber knight armed with the skills, weapons, and savvy needed to slay today’s dragons. One such digital warrior is Andy Webb, a former British Army officer. Together with Karen Spencer, a shy, twenty-something American who is a wizard when it comes to software, and Tommy Tyler, a rough and ready ex-soldier and hardware expert, Webb forms Century Consultants. The cyber security firm must work to defend its clients from the hackers, criminals and hired cyber assassins who seek out victims on the world wide web.

An Action Thriller about Cyber Warfare and International Intrigue

"As James drove back to his office, his head was spinning. Why would Philip suddenly go to the dark side, as they used to call it? Throughout their careers they both had reveled in the fact that they were developing cyber defenses to stop cyber threats. It was part of their core beliefs. They were white hats, not black hats, as the cyber community referred to defenders as compared to the offenders. What caused Philip and the company to develop malware? Not just malware, but advanced persistent threats, the most insidious of all cyber threats? Also, why would he be working with the federal government when their corporate by-laws specifically barred such work by VSI? Violating that requirement could trigger significant penalties.
James wondered if he really knew his partner and best friend as well as he thought."
—An excerpt from Cyber Countdown

When a high-ranking consultant to NSA and Cyber Command is suddenly murdered, James Jordan must leverage his knowledge of the technology and his experience with his former company to work with the President and the US Navy to save his country—and the world.
In the near-future world of Cyber Countdown, cybersecurity is critical to the nation’s well-being. This exciting and intriguing story of a future conflict between the US and North Korea includes a description of how North Korea hay have already hidden their nukes from the US.

Flynn expertly weaves his central characters in China, North Korea, Europe, and the United States to create a narrative of political intrigue and conspiracy, where nobody is as they first appear and secrets pervade even the closest relationships. The end result is a compelling, highly readable story that feels like it was ripped from today's headlines.
Tom Tresh is a small-time Los Angeles attorney always looking for a big score. Divorced and broke, with an ex-wife and a seven year old son to support, Tom has spent his career trying to walk the line between defending his criminal clients and becoming involved in their crimes. So when his old friend Charlie asks him to help broker a deal for a mysterious new computer program and promises him a huge payday for his services, Tom is willing to turn a blind eye to the details. Big mistake. Two of the people involved in the theft are found gruesomely slaughtered in a vacant lot. It’s a warning. If Tom doesn’t return the program, a “Logic Bomb” capable of destroying the world’s vital computer systems, then all Tom has -- his family, his friends, his life -- will be brutally exterminated.

Tom’s frantic fight to unravel the conspiracy erupts into an all-out war waged in court and in the street against a cartel of corporate thugs, Chinese spies, domestic terrorists, and the U.S. government. Tom recruits an army of his own, led by the head of a murderous LA gang, a beautiful and deadly former cop, and a mysterious genius hacker. As Tom’s team races towards a fierce and violent showdown, no one can be trusted and everything is at stake.

In The Logic Bomb, veteran Los Angeles attorney Scott Richard Lord has crafted a riveting novel as fresh as tomorrow’s Internet headlines. Populated with vividly compelling and original characters, sprawling across indelible Left Coast landmarks, the story is filled with the incredible but true details of the secret machinery behind the cyber war being fought everywhere today.

The bestselling author of Team Yankee, "master of military fiction" Harold Coyle returns. In a novel both exciting and frighteningly realistic, Harold Coyle demonstrates once again that one of the nation's most important struggles is being fought on its own territory.

Freedom. It is brought settlers to America's coasts, and it's the ideal that many laid down their lives to preserve. But, as the greatest nation in the world enters the new millennium, America finds itself once again split over the concept of liberty and justice for all.

When one man decides to send a message to the government by bombing a federal building, the explosion is felt all across the country. The chain reaction that follows resonates most powerfully with members of a rebel band in Idaho who call themselves "Patriots" they want freedom from government control, no matter how much deadly force it takes. Their well-planned acts of terrorism soon show the government that they cannot be ignored and that definite action is needed.

Thrown into the battle is Lieutenant Nathan Dixon, fresh from VMI, and a soldier who stands in the very large shadow of his father, the revered General Scott Dixon. Sent to quell a potentially dangerous situation, he'll need every bit of his training, for Nathan finds himself catapulted into the first battle of a new American war of secession.

Covering the news is Nathan's stepmother, prominent anchorwoman Jan Fields. As the country watches, Jan discovers that Idaho's charismatic governor, George Oliver "GO" Thomas has an agenda of his own, one that may truly have a revolutionary effect on the whole country.
Using the hard-edged style that made him famous, Harold Coyle takes us inside an all too plausible America where a nation is divided over the ideals on which this country was founded. In this modern military thriller, Coyle gives us an intimate portrait of the men and women who fight to uphold their, visions of America against all enemies.
